הפרויקט עוסק באובדן, פציעה והפשטה של נוף - נוף פצוע - ומעלה שאלות על יופי, צריכה ומחירה הסביבתי של הקדמה. 

ההשראה הגיעה מתצלומיו של אדוארד ברוטינסקי: תצלומים ממבט על, המייצרים דימויים מופשטים למראה, המתעדים תהליכי נטילה, שימוש ושחיקה של משאבים טבעיים. 

לצידם, גם פסליו העצומים של ריצ'רד סרה מהווים השראה לקולקציה - גופי פלדה חלודים ומחוספסים, היוצרים חוויה פיזית של כובד, ניכור ועוצמה תעשייתית, המטילה את נוכחותה על הסביבה. הקולקציה כוללת חמש מערכות לבוש לנשים, בשילוב טקסטורות מורכבות של צמר, ויסקוזה, עור ומתכת. הגזרות נעות בין מבניות קשוחה, כסמל לשליטה תעשייתית, לבין רכות ותנועה שמבטאת שבריריות וחשיפה. העיצוב שואף לגבש אסתטיקה גבוהה מתוך פירוק חומרי ורעיוני ולעורר דיאלוג בין יוקרה עיצובית לאחריות סביבתית.

 

Abstract Depleted Terrain // Omer Carmeli

The project investigates themes of loss, damage, and the extraction of landscape - a wounded terrain - addressing concerns about beauty, consumption, and the environmental cost of progress.
It draws inspiration from the aerial photography of Edward Burtynsky: large-scale, seemingly abstract images depicting the extraction, exploitation, and depletion of natural resources.
Equally influential are the giant sculptures of Richard Serra - towering, rusted steel structures with rough textures and curved geometries whose sheer mass creates a bodily experience of weight, alienation, and industrial dominance over the environment.

The collection features five womenswear looks, that combine complex textures and tactile contrasts including wool, viscose, leather, and metal.
The outfits differ between sculptural rigidity — a symbol of industrial control — and soft draping that reflects fragility and exposure.

The design aims to create a high-end aesthetic through material and conceptual deconstruction, as well as to promote a dialogue between design luxury and environmental responsibility.
