קולקציית הגמר שלי נולדה מסיפורם של סבי וסבתי, שעלו מתימן בשנות ה־50. דרך עיניהם אני בוחנת את המתח בין מסורת עזת הבעה לזהות שנדרשה להיטמע בכור ההיתוך הישראלי. הם, כמו רבים אחרים, נאלצו לוותר על לבושם המסורתי לטובת חליפה מערבית – לא רק שינוי חיצוני, אלא ויתור כואב על שייכות. בקולקציית נשים זו שילבתי חייטות מוקפדת המבוססת על חליפה גברית מערבית עם אלמנטים מהלבוש התימני: רקמות יד, סריגים, עור, הדפסי רשת וצמר. הצבעוניות המונוכרומטית מסמלת אחידות, בעוד נגיעות אדומות משקפות מסע, תרבות וגעגוע. הקולקציה עוסקת במאבק תרבותי דרך בדים ותפרים, ומציעה פרשנות עכשווית לסיפור ההגירה, הזהות וההתמודדות עם השינוי.
העיצוב שלי הוא הצהרה אישית וקולקטיבית – ניסיון לתפור מחדש את הזהות שאבדה, ולתת קול לדברים שהודחקו דרך סיפור משפחתי שהפך להשראה.

My final collection was born from the story of my grandparents, who immigrated from Yemen to Israel in the 1950s. Through their eyes,

I explore the tension between expressive cultural tradition and a new identity forced by Israel’s melting pot. Like many others, they had to replace their traditional garments with tailored Western suits—more than a visual change, it was a painful loss of belonging.

This womenswear collection blends precise Western tailoring, inspired by the masculine suit, with elements from traditional Yemeni dress: hand embroidery, knits, leather, screen prints, and wool. A monochromatic palette symbolizes imposed uniformity, while touches of red evoke journey, heritage, and longing.

The collection tells a story of cultural struggle through fabric and stitch—an emotional and contemporary reflection on immigration, identity, and silent resistance. A personal and collective statement, stitched from memory.
