This year, while my fiancé was in reserve duty, I held on to the thought that after the war ends, we will get married.

As the wedding approaches, I feel myself growing up—and for the first time, I reflect on my body’s ability to create life; processes that were once simple now seem like pure magic.

The women in my family are deeply connected through our love for handcrafts. We speak through creation, building new worlds with our hands.

My grandfather lived for flowers. Like humans, a flower undergoes a life cycle. That transformation is what I aim to bring into clothing, each creation with stories, carrying the promise of new beginnings.

I created a womenswear collection that connects the world of the female body with my grandfather’s clothes, using various techniques. The silhouettes were inspired by the shapes of flowers—transforming from flowers to wearable garment.

The materials include hand-knitted and embroidered textiles, my grandfather’s shirts and jeans, my grandmother’s wool blanket, and a eco-fabric inspired by my grandfather’s hand-pressed flowers.

Even in difficult times, I can imagine the day after—from war to wedding, death to life, seed to human and plant, and from leftovers to garments.
