הפרויקט עוסק בשימור זהות תחת רדיפה, מתוך סיפורם של סבי וסבתי, בני הקהילה היהודית-משהדית שחיו כמוסלמים בטהרן והמשיכו לשמור על יהדותם בסתר. זהו סיפור על כפילות, הסתרה ועמידה שקטה מול כוח מדכא.

הקולקציה נעה בין פגיעות לעוצמה, שקיפות לאטימות, ומשקפת את המאבק בין זהות נסתרת לנראות כפויה.

העיצובים שואבים השראה מהצ׳אדור המוסלמי, מבתי הכנסת הנסתרים ומהמרחב הביתי והאינטימי שבו נשמרו סודות הקהילה. אני חוקרת את המתח בין האסלאם ליהדות ובין מסורת לחופש, תוך שימוש בזכוכית כמטאפורה לשבריריות וכוח גם יחד.

באמצעות טכניקות של שילוב בדים בשכבות, פיסול טקסטיל, עיטוף והסתרה, יצרתי קולקצייה המיועדת לנשים כאשר כל מערכת לבוש בוחנת את המתח בין זהות מוסתרת לבין נראות חיצונית ומעלה שאלות על מקומה של אישה בתוך מרחבים מגבילים- דתיים, פוליטיים וחברתיים. הצבעוניות המונוכרומטית- שחור ולבן, מדגישה את הדואליות בין הסתרה לגילוי, בין כפייה לחירות. השחור מייצג את כיסוי הגוף, את הצל, את הזהות הנעלמת; הלבן מסמל את הרגע שבו האור מצליח לחדור פנימה.
זהו סיפור על נשים, על מחאה שקטה, ועל היופי בזהות שנשמרת בסתר.

This project explores the preservation of identity under persecution, inspired by the story of my grandparents—members of the Jewish Mashhadi community who lived as Muslims in Tehran while secretly maintaining their Jewish faith. It is a story of duality, concealment, and quiet resistance in the face of oppression.
The collection moves between vulnerability and strength, transparency and opacity, visually expressing the struggle between hidden identity and imposed visibility. The designs draw inspiration from the Muslim chador, hidden synagogues, and the intimate domestic spaces where the community's secrets were kept. I explore the tension between Islam and Judaism, tradition and freedom, using glass as a metaphor for both fragility and strength.
Through layering techniques, textile sculpting, wrapping, and concealment, I created a women’s collection of five looks, each examining the tension between hidden identity and external appearance, raising questions about the role of women within religious, political, and social constraints. A monochromatic palette of black and white emphasizes the duality of concealment and revelation, oppression and liberation. Black represents bodily covering, shadow, and erased identity; white symbolizes the moment when light begins to break through.
This is a story about women, quiet defiance, and the beauty of an identity preserved in secret.
